Accident: 170566400 - Injured In Collision With Switch Engine, Later Dies At approximately 3:00 p.m. on August 10, 1997, Employee #1 was driving a Hostler industrial truck in a rail yard when he crossed the tracks in front of a switch engine. He was struck by the engine and thrown from the cab. Employee #1 sustained serious head injuries, along with leg injuries that resulted in surgical amputation. He apparently slipped and fell from the rail car, striking his head.
